The New Revolution: Media

From the Penny Press to instant messaging and streaming videos, media and its methods of distribution have advanced radically. I can now sit in the comfort of my condo and access any news medium I want to. The other day I conversed with a friend I grew up with via my text messaging service on my phone. Its astonishing how society has progressed from direct two-way conversations on a phone to the ability to add as many parties as our phone can dial to one conversation. We can text message, check the Internet, get navigation, take pictures and still use it for its original intentions ( to call people).

If my television forsakes me, I can go to the Internet to see the news. I no longer have to subscribe to the New York Times or my local paper, I can access it via the Internet. I can open a medium to interact with fellow readers of the Tribune or viewers of ESPN. Whatever I need is at my fingertips. I do not have to travel to the mac cosmetic store to indulge in my shopping fetish. I can just visit MACCOSMETICS.COM or my favorite MACPRO.COM . I can now purchase my Jimmy Choos, Bally's, BCBG's, Chloe Shades all online. That saves gas and time!

Its amazing how media has become the mere essence of interaction. I could instant message a friend or look her up through one of the social networks. I can e-mail my teacher to send her info. I can e-mail her pics I just took. A process that took hours to do is now done in seconds. Instead of taking the picture and waiting for it to develop, I can take the picture and view it on my display screen. From that I can upload it to my iMAC or print it. If that doesn't suit me I can take it to Walgreens to get them printed. Its amazing how society has jumped forward!!!!

I can check my bank accounts and get news alerts via the internet or messaging. I can search and find the cheapest room for a weekend. I can compare shop in 10 minutes flat.

Can I say media is revolutionary? Yes! Not only is it revolutionary, it is the driving force for the REVOLUTION !!!! What more could you want or expect?
